Live Action Fullmetal Alchemist. Aku tak tahu pun ianya dalam produksi. Satu trailer pendek berdurasi 30 saat telah dikeluarkan dan ianya nampak seperti okay.
Menjadi satu perdebatan hangat, apabila watak utama iaitu Edward Elrich menggunakan pelakon dari negara Jepun sedangkan dalam komik Edward adalah orang Eropah. Boleh dikatakan full background untuk komik ini adalah dari Eropah. Isu yang sama juga terjadi untuk live action filem Death Note dan Ghost In Shell apabila hero/heroin menggunakan bintang Hollywood.
Fullmetal Alchemist mengikuti perjalanan dua orang adik beradik Edward dan Alphonse [Ed dan Al] yang kehilangan anggota badan apabila cuba menghidupkan kembali ibu mereka yang telah meninggal dunia menggunakan ilmu kimia terlarang.
Diarahkan oleh Fumihiko Sori, Fullmetal Alchemist membariskan pelakon Ryosuke Yamada sebagai Edward Elrich, Tsubasa Honda sebagai Winry Rockbell, Dean Fujioka sebagai Roy Mustang, Ryuuta Satou sebagai Maes Hughes, Misako Renbutsu sebagai Riza Hawkeye, Natsuna sebagai Maria Ross, Natsuki Harada sebagai Gracia Hughes, You Ooizumi sebagai Shou Tucker, Jun Kunimura sebagai Tim Marcoh, Fumiya Kohinata sebagai Hakuro, Yasuko Matsuyuki sebagai Lust, Kanata Hongou sebagai Envy, Shinji Uchiyama sebagai Gluttony dan Kenjirou Ishimaru sebagai Father Cornello.
Some Fullmetal Live Action Movie Facts/Rumors
1) This movie is the result of a small group of FMA die-hard fans who just
happened to be in the Japanese film industry. Director Fumihiko Sori
and his team attempted to do this project and after approval from
publisher and Mangaka began planning it since 3 years ago.
2) It is a LOCAL
Japanese effort for a live action adaptation of a well-loved
manga/anime and includes a cast from a generation that grew up with this
work, much like the most of us.
3) This is not Hollywood, they did not have access to a variety of foreign
actors that could speak Japanese.
4) Both the director and lead actor are now critically acclaimed with the
Japanese Academy Award for respective field and experience. Fumihiko Sori was in the CGI team for Hollywood's titanic so he has
some foreign experience.He was also recently awarded for his CGI feature
Ping Pong.
5) Much of the skepticism for this film is because of AOT/SNK. That was a
trainwreck and not the same team. There are many other decent LA out
there.
6) That hair on ED is the lead actor's own dyed hair with extensions for
the braid. IT IS NOT A WIG
7) The characters will NOT be acknowledging that they are Japanese. It is a
fictional world with fictional people. Not because of racism but
because of limited resources.
8) The director has promised to stay as loyal to the source material as
possible unlike AOT.
9) Al is this movie's biggest secret, and the director's greatest pride
from the finished work.
10) THE NINA ALEXANDER ARC/Leor Arc is confirmed because of casting. They
have a shou tucker.
